A poem I came across that I quite liked. Pertaining to nothing in particular of current events; there is much to be worried and negative about in the world today, but I cannot help being an optimist. So, a poem for darker and more difficult times than ours. If anyone can provide the original Chinese, I’d be much obliged.
The flames of war are raging.
I gaze at the battleships in the distance,
Their masts looming in the mist.
Filled with indignation,
I yearn for enough wine to dream my life away.
