Today, as we approach two months since his tragic suicide, the New York Times features an extensive series of features on the life and career of fashion designer Alexander McQueen, including this timeline of his life and career, which contains numerous links to past Times articles.
I have myself only just begun to have an interest in fashion, and to dip my toe into its waters. I know very little about this world, but I know that McQueen will likely continue to be among my favorites even as I continue to learn more about his work and that of others. What a horrible, tragic loss for the world.
There are so many intriguing and attractive looks by McQueen to skim through… Lots of runway videos on his website, though sadly not stills of the individual looks.
Someday maybe I’ll find a book of his work, or will otherwise somehow sit down and go through it all. With a Google Image Search or the like, I could be there for days, entranced…
